Why do some products have 2 different prices displayed, for in-store vs online purchases?

This is because it reflects certain benefits you will receive buying in store vs online. Those include having having expert advice at hand in our stores to ensure you purchase the right product for your needs. Our experts can assess your requirements, demonstrate products, and also you can try-before-you-buy. It also means we can set the product up for you and you can take the item home the same day. The aftercare received from your local store will also allow you to be worry-free. To this end, the warranty cover on in-store purchases is substantially more extensive than with online purchases.

In order for us to provide our customers with all the desirable features from our industry-leading stores we have additional costs that allow us to provide the service required. This is reflected in the difference of prices online vs in store. Most online products are also drop-shipped directly from the manufacturers as kerb side delivery so this will have to be unboxed and set up by the purchaser. The Quickie Life R Wheelchair is from Sunrise Medical’s active wheelchair range and is designed for those who’s needs may change and require adjustments over time.

It is an active rigid wheelchair that is designed for a variety of needs, and is available with a fixed or a swing-away front frame.

The Life R has an established design that has proven to provide a very robust rigid wheelchair where energy is very efficient, weighs only 10.5kg and allows users to make adjustments over time.

Users can alter the centre of gravity to make the wheelchair more stable or active, change the rear seat height, increase/decrease the bucket, or increase the wheel camber from 0° to 4°.

The right seating angle for the Life R Wheelchair is available optional angle-adjustable back that can be adjusted from -12° to +8° (in 4° increments).

There are 32 frame colours with different anodised colours for the axle plate, the fork, the reel and rim.

The Life R is compatible with the Attitude hand bike series from Sunrise Medical. Whether you want to exercise with the manual add-on, enjoy the benefits of intermittent exercise with the power assist, or cruise anywhere with the full power add-on, the Attitude hand bike range has all the options.

Engineers Delivery

For an extra £150, your order can be delivered by an engineer within 7-14 working days subject to availability.

This is a good option if you suffer from mobility limitations, live in a rural area or in a second floor flat/apartment, or would just prefer a more personalised delivery experience.

You will receive a phone call to arrange a delivery date/time to suit you. On the day of your choice, the engineer will arrive and assemble your product and ensure it’s in full working order. Then they will provide a full demonstration, including charging, preparing and assembling/disassembling your product. The engineer will be happy to answer any of your questions during this time, and will even take all the unnecessary packaging with them when they leave.

Overall very good wheelchair, had it for a week took it out today to the shops and so far can’t say a bad word about it, easy to push on and off a bus myself and around the shops and when my partner pushed she found it very easy to push and manoeuvre
