Sunrise Medical’s Quickie Krypton has evolved from their first lightweight, adjustable wheelchair in the 1980s to the most advanced manual energy efficient wheelchairs to date. It is the ultimate Quickie Krypton wheelchair.

The design of the Quickie Krypton has evolved over the last 40 years, with the engineers using numerous lightweight materials and manufacturing processes to create the ultimate lightweight energy efficient wheelchair.

The Quickie Krypton is made of lightweight carbon and has X Braid technology that has never been used before in wheelchairs.

There are two options of the Krypton, Rigid or Folding. The Krypton R weighs just 3.65 kg and is extremely energy efficient  and the Krypton F is built for convenience and is the lightest adjustable wheelchair in the world and folds down to create ease whilst transporting.

The Krypton R is the ultimate Quickie wheelchair with a rigid frame. It is designed with the most advanced engineering, and has a beautiful design that has been created with the finest materials.

Lightweight

The Quickie Krypton R is the lightest fully adjustable rigid wheelchair on the market weighing just 6.2kg. Created using aerospace engineered carbon fibre that was the only material that would achieve this level of performance. As a result the Quickie Krypton R has phenomenal rigidity and extremely sharp agility all in a fully adjustable wheelchair design.

You don’t just have to love the exquisite materials or the renown styling, but also the athleticism and agility of this extremely unique and market leading rigid wheelchair. It has an Infinitely adjustable centre of gravity and users are able to fine tune the front and rear seat heights and backrest angle adjustment to ensure the Quickie Krypton R is suited for every individual need.

The Quickie Krypton R is the first wheelchair made of patented innovative seamless carbon braid technology. The fully automated Braid process makes it possible to build the perfect frame strong where necessary, light where possible and manufactured with a precise and reliable process.

The Quickie Krypton R is extremely strong and reliable and was approved only when the engineers were 100% satisfied with the quality.

Quickie wheelchairs are tested under freezing cold conditions and desert hot conditions (-20°C to 70°C). There was not one test where the Krypton didn’t perform to its potential.

The Quickie Krypton R has extensive personalisation options that will help every user create a wheelchair to their own style and needs. There are different Carbon finishing options that include Clear coat gloss, Clear coat matt, Just black (Black coating, matt or glossy) or Natural carbon without coating.
