In-Store Vs Online Prices

Why do some products have 2 different prices displayed, for in-store vs online purchases?

This is because it reflects certain benefits you will receive buying in store vs online. Those include having having expert advice at hand in our stores to ensure you purchase the right product for your needs. Our experts can assess your requirements, demonstrate products, and also you can try-before-you-buy. It also means we can set the product up for you and you can take the item home the same day. The aftercare received from your local store will also allow you to be worry-free. To this end, the warranty cover on in-store purchases is substantially more extensive than with online purchases.

In order for us to provide our customers with all the desirable features from our industry-leading stores we have additional costs that allow us to provide the service required. This is reflected in the difference of prices online vs in store. Most online products are also drop-shipped directly from the manufacturers as kerb side delivery so this will have to be unboxed and set up by the purchaser. Please contact us if you have any questions.

This is the case with variably-priced products. Prescriptive items in particular, e.g. powerchairs, have a base price which can vary greatly from the price with cost add-ons. For all variable products, the in-store price shown is the in-store price for the base model, i.e. the lowest-cost version of the product. The Pride Apex Lite Mobility Scooter is a boot scooter with a modern, lightweight and agile design. As with any Pride  travel scooter, the frame has been designed for easy disassembly. It quickly breaks down into 5 easily manageable pieces. Since the heaviest part weighs just 15kg (33lbs) the Pride Apex Lite Mobility Scooter is easy to store or transport. The airsafe battery gives almost 10 miles range on a single charge. The Apex Lite has a comfortable folding seat for comfort and portability. Width adjustable flip-up armrests help with comfort and ease of transfers. The maximum user weight of 21 Stone 6lbs (136 kg) is impressively high for a boot scooter of this size.

Impressive Performance

The Pride Apex Lite has 8″ puncture proof wheels and 1.25″ of ground clearance for more confidence when out and about. An easy to use control tiller creates easy agility in small spaces and busy areas. The Pride Apex Lite Mobility Scooter also has a big backrest pocket and front basket for convenience.

Does this scooter have off board battery charging?

This mobility scooter does have a removable battery pack for off board charging.

Can I drive this mobility scooter on the road?

This is a 4mph boot scooter, so it is not road legal. If you are interested in larger, road legal mobility scooters, please follow either this link, or this link.

Can this scooter be driven off road?

As a smaller boot scooter, this mobility scooter is not ideal for off-road (or off-pavement) use. If you’re looking for something better suited to that purpose, we can happily help you.

Can I travel with my mobility scooter on an airplane?

Many mobility scooters are allowed on airplanes, but it’s important to check with your airline for specific regulations and restrictions regarding battery size and weight. Ensure your scooter is airline-approved to avoid any travel issues.

Engineers Delivery

For an extra £150, your order can be delivered by an engineer within 7-14 working days subject to availability.

This is a good option if you suffer from mobility limitations, live in a rural area or in a second floor flat/apartment, or would just prefer a more personalised delivery experience.

You will receive a phone call to arrange a delivery date/time to suit you. On the day of your choice, the engineer will arrive and assemble your product and ensure it’s in full working order. Then they will provide a full demonstration, including charging, preparing and assembling/disassembling your product. The engineer will be happy to answer any of your questions during this time, and will even take all the unnecessary packaging with them when they leave.
