In-Store Vs Online Prices

Why do some products have 2 different prices displayed, for in-store vs online purchases?

This is because it reflects certain benefits you will receive buying in store vs online. Those include having having expert advice at hand in our stores to ensure you purchase the right product for your needs. Our experts can assess your requirements, demonstrate products, and also you can try-before-you-buy. It also means we can set the product up for you and you can take the item home the same day. The aftercare received from your local store will also allow you to be worry-free. To this end, the warranty cover on in-store purchases is substantially more extensive than with online purchases.

In order for us to provide our customers with all the desirable features from our industry-leading stores we have additional costs that allow us to provide the service required. This is reflected in the difference of prices online vs in store. Most online products are also drop-shipped directly from the manufacturers as kerb side delivery so this will have to be unboxed and set up by the purchaser. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Why do some products have more than 2 different prices displayed, for in-store vs online purchases?

This is the case with variably-priced products. Prescriptive items in particular, e.g. powerchairs, have a base price which can vary greatly from the price with cost add-ons. For all variable products, the in-store price shown is the in-store price for the base model, i.e. the lowest-cost version of the product. Different configurations of a variable product can affect in-store prices, just as they do online. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions about this

An Ultralight and Easy Handling Active Chair

The travelling weight of the Ki Mobility Ethos Lightweight Rigid Active Wheelchair is an extraordinarily light and easy to manage 5.26kg (with the rear wheels removed, e.g. if taken down for transit in a car boot)

The Ethos delivers extraordinary ride quality and performance in a beautiful and light chair. Whilst we’re on the subject of beauty, customising the appearance of this ultralight wheelchair couldn’t be easier. You can choose from a combination of 21 frame colours, 8 highlights and 8 anodized options.

Suspension-Style Comfort

One innovation making the Ki Mobility Ethos Lightweight Rigid Active Wheelchair so special is Iso Tech (Isolation Technology). This is a patent pending method of isolating the seat frame from the base frame using vibration damping polymers. Thanks to their unified actions, the ride vibration is reduced. Also, since the casters are no longer attached to the frame, caster vibrations are not transferred to the footplate and your body.

To summarise, thanks to Iso Tech, you will experience the sort of ride comfort you’d usually associate with a suspension equipped mobility product.

This product is extensively customisable, the instore, RRP and online prices are for the base models only. Please consult the order form prior to purchase. We also recommend a free, no-obligation home assessment with one of our team. This will ensure that you get your perfect chair.

What other Ki Mobility wheelchairs do Lifestyle & Mobility sell?

We are proud to stock a comprehensive range of Ki Mobility’s high-spec and lightweight products.

Do you sell wheelchair accessories?

Yes we do, take a look at the range we currently have available by clicking here. Check back regularly, since we’re adding new products all the time!

What’s the weight of the heaviest part?

Just 5.26kg with the rear wheels removed, and the following configuration selected from the order form: 16″x16″ Standard Length Frame, Fixed Height Back, 4″ Poly Casters, Tubular Open Footplate and Standard Upholstery

Do I need to have an assessment before buying this product?

If you are absolutely sure that you want the base model, then it is not essential. However, we would recommend one, since it is free and no-obligation. If you think that, based on the order form, you may have more specialist requirements, then an assessment would be overwhelmingly the right choice.

What makes a wheelchair an "active" wheelchair?

Good question. Active wheelchairs tend to be more lightweight, with an emphasis on performance. They are for the more physically fit and independent user, being self-propelled.

Your member of staff was pleasant and helpful, his name is Ryan,he was there to tell us everything we wanted to know without pressure. I appreciated this as I like to browse and look without someone hovering. Ryan was polite and knowledgeable and I found it a really nice visit. 10/10 for Ryan.
    Thank you.
