FAQs

Can I drive this mobility scooter on the road?

No, this is a Class B mobility scooter, so it is not road-legal.

Do all mobility scooters have lithium batteries?

No, many mobility scooters, including this model, use sealed lead acid batteries. Information about battery types and other battery specifications can be found on individual scooter product pages.

What colour options are available for this scooter?

This scooter is available in matte blue or matte red

Can I get a rain canopy for this scooter?

Yes, this canopy can be purchased in a compatible size and with compatible fittings for use with this mobility scooter. If and when you purchase one of these, please do put into the purchase notes what make and model of scooter it is that you would like to have the canopy fitted to.

How do I maintain my mobility scooter's battery?

To extend the life of your mobility scooter battery, charge it regularly and avoid letting it fully discharge. Store the battery in a cool, dry place and follow the manufacturer’s maintenance tips.

How is scooter range calculated?

Scooter range is generally calculated under test conditions, which are not easily replicated in the real world. This means that the scooter will be used on an entirely flat surface, with ideal weather conditions and with a minimal user weight. Because of this, scooters tend not to meet their entire stated range outside factory conditions.

Would this be considered to be a budget or premium scooter?

This would be considered to be a highly specialist, heavy-duty product, so very much not an economy model, i.e. it is a premium item

Does this scooter have off board battery charging?

This mobility scooter does not have off-board charging for its battery

Can this scooter be driven off road?

Whilst this scooter is designed for very high carry capacity, it is not intended for off-road usage, and so it is best to stick to compact manmade surfaces whenever possible.

Do you stock anything particularly recommended for cold weather use with this scooter?

We would particularly recommend the Splash Scooter Cosy and the Lined Splash Deluxe Sleeved Universal Poncho for use in cold and wet weather alike.

    Not had a single issue.
  2. Eòin Tyrrell, 2 years ago

This being almost the weight of a heavyweight boxer means that at my grand ol' age I haven't got a hope in hell in lifting it. However with how easy it turns and how thin it is, it isn't much of an issue. You can just manoeuvre your way through.
  3. Janessa Watson, 2 years ago

Bought this for weight capacity reasons though I must say I am pleasantly surprised, it is a very well made scooter.
  4. Sophie Middleton, 2 years ago

The folding tiller is a God send, I've never seen a scooter this durable and sturdy have one before. Best of both worlds.
  5. Thomas Patel, 2 years ago

Always preferred 3 wheelers, much easier to maneuverer.
  6. Charlotte Anderson, 2 years ago

An attractive looking scooter, sturdily made and with a rather comfortable captains seat, one cannot argue the quality.
  7. Julian Nelson, 2 years ago

I'm a man of the larger variety, to find a seat so spacious is a God send. Always have trouble finding a compact scooter whilst having a wide seat.
