FAQs
Does this scooter have any USB charging ports?
Yes, this scooter has two USB charging points in the rear of the tiller
How is scooter range calculated?
Scooter range is generally calculated under test conditions, which are not easily replicated in the real world. This means that the scooter will be used on an entirely flat surface, with ideal weather conditions and with a minimal user weight. Because of this, scooters tend not to meet their entire stated range outside factory conditions.
What accessories are available for this scooter?
We offer a wide range of scooter accessories, some of which are available at a discounted rate when purchased alongside one of our scooters.
Can I drive this mobility scooter on the road?
Yes, this is a road-legal 8mph Class 3 mobility scooter.
Note also that you don’t need a driving licence to operate a mobility scooter, as they are classified as “invalid carriages” rather than motor vehicles. Other things to consider:
– Registration: Some mobility scooters must be registered with the DVLA.
– Age: You must be at least 14 years old to use a mobility scooter.
– Road Safety: A road safety course is recommended, especially for those who haven’t driven before.
– Insurance: Not legally required, but advisable for protection in case of an accident.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes! You can always pop into one of our stores to try any product currently stocked there. Do phone ahead to avoid disappointment, as our range is very large, and so we cannot guarantee that all products will be available at all of our stores all the time. If you’re a little further away from our stores, we can potentially arrange free in-home demonstrations on our products. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you’re interested in this possibility.
Does this scooter have off board battery charging?
This mobility scooter does not have off-board charging for its battery
Would this be considered to be a budget or premium scooter?
This would be considered to be a high-end, feature-rich, mobility scooter – a premium product.
Do I need a license or insurance to ride a mobility scooter?
No, you do not need a driving license to ride a mobility scooter. While insurance is not mandatory, it is recommended to cover theft, damage, and liability. Class 3 (road-legal) mobility scooters must be registered with the DVLA. However, you are not required to buy insurance for them.
Do you offer any warranties on your mobility scooters?
We do offer warranties for our mobility scooters and it would depend on the brand and model. Reach out to us for specific information.
What is the difference between on-board and off-board scooter charging?
Offboard charging means removing the scooter battery to charge it separately from the scooter itself. With onboard charging, you will need to find a charging point on your scooter and plug the charging cable into this. The battery is not removed in this instance.
