On Wednesday 16th July, the latest addition to the Lifestyle & Mobility store network opened its doors: Lifestyle & Mobility Hatfield. Positioned in the Hatfield Galleria, heart of the town, the store opened in style. Highlights included an extremely competitive game of wheelchair basketball held outside the entrance (complete with a couple of minor injuries, and rumours of amazing trickshots)
Lifestyle & Mobility’s Hatfield store particularly reflects the development of two sectors within the company. Firstly, it follows in the footsteps of the flagship Basildon store, “Lifestyle”, in showcasing interior design and furniture offerings. Secondly, it draws on the company’s deepest reserves of technical expertise by putting an emphasis on high-spec, prescriptive mobility products. These things combine to give the branch a distinct feel, whilst remaining undeniably “Lifestyle & Mobility”
Rooms & Home
Firstly, let’s take a brief look at the furniture and interior design component of the Hatfield store. Following up on the success of the “Lifestyle & Home” section which the Basildon branch boasts, “Rooms & Home”, a new concept under the Lifestyle & Mobility umbrella, expands on the possibilities suggested by mobility and static furniture alike. The Rooms & Home section, potentially a marker of things to come across the company, features a curated selection of room design suggestions, many centred around mobility furniture.
A Nexus for Prescriptive Products
Nexus Rehab, now an established operation under the “Lifestyle umbrella” has a dedicated space at Hatfield. As mentioned, the store has a particular emphasis on prescriptive product options. Lifestyle & Mobility are lucky enough to work with Paralympian Richard Chiassaro, who, as you’d expect, played a big part in the wheelchair basketball match! Richard’s personal experience as a paralympic athlete has made him quite the expert when it comes to prescriptive products for sporting needs. Richard has been with the company for a while now, and it seemed only right to give his work with Nexus Rehab a dedicated part of the new store – complete with bespoke graffiti decor.
Keeping to Core Values
Whilst the Hatfield store does highlight newer areas of Lifestyle & Mobility’s business, it also stays true to the core of what Lifestyle & Mobility is all about. As always, Ron Sverdloff, founder of the company, was present at this latest milestone. Ron founded the company with a simple goal:
To provide the highest-quality mobility equipment and lifestyle products, impart expert knowledge, and offer unrivalled aftercare.
No matter how many stores may be opened in the future, and however diverse the product and service range may become, that will never change.
