During the development of the Nitrum Sunrise Medical have made it their goal to optimize every component in terms of weight saving and to achieve maximum rigidity. The Nitrum Hybrid Pro takes this principle to the extremes. This chair offers the highest level of rigidity possible thanks to its super-stiff frame construction suitable for user weights up to 140kg.

The Nitrum’s frame is characterized by the fixed welded backrest and axle which saves weight, increase’s frame-stiffness and reduce moving parts.

The Nitrum Hybrid Pro combines extraordinary stability with a durable lightweight construction which starts from 8.4 kg.

With fewer stress points due to its elongated sides, the unique oval tubing is stronger than round as it’s less likely to flex under pressure. It’s also lighter as the shape uses less material.

Sculpted from high-strength 7020 Aluminium, the frame is specially heat-treated using patented ShapeLoc technology, so the tubing can be significantly thinner and lighter without any sacrifice to its strength.

Frame clamped castor links and cross-tubes can increase weight and cause energy loss through vibration. The Nitrum Hybrid Pro is hand-welded into one-complete frame so you get a stiffer, lighter ride.

The Nitrum is the the first active wheelchair with integrated LED lights. Mounted on either castor arm and with 3 light modes (high, low and blink) the integrated LED’s will light up your night! The powerpack provides up to 4 hours run time and can be easily detached for recharging.
